There is no doubt about it, 2014 was a year for the history books. From the Ebola virus break out in the United States, to the devastating death of comedy legend, Robin Williams and then back to the birth of Prince George, 2014 was a year full of monumental moments.
The same could be said for FW Warehousing: It was a monumental year. In 2014, FW Warehousing opened three new facilities in the Saint Louis area. This brings the total number of warehouses owned by FW Warehousing to 14, which are located in Missouri, Illinois and Indiana. The three new warehouses added an additional 1.2 million square feet of storage space for FW Warehousing.
The first facility FW Warehousing opened in 2014 is right over the Missouri/Illinois border in Saint Louis, Missouri. The former National Personnel Records Center is perfectly positioned just off Interstate 55, near the Anheuser-Busch InBev Company. This facility was AIB inspected and received an AIB Superior Rating.
The second facility FW Warehousing opened in 2014 is also right over the Missouri/Illinois border in Saint Louis, Missouri. This facility at one point in time was a Hostess bakery, but now FW Warehousing is utilizing the space directly located off of Interstate 70. The facility has more than 400,000 square feet of storage space. It came equipped with refrigerated and freezer storage, on-site wet and dry storage tanks, as well as 1,000 feet rail spur and nine acres of outdoor storage space. Although the facility seemed perfect to begin with, FW Warehousing completely revamped the building by redoing the floor and roof and building walls within the facility.
The third and final facility FW Warehousing opened in 2014 is in Berkeley, Missouri. This warehouse added more than 200,000 square feet of storage space to FW Warehousing. This facility is in an ideal location: It is miles away from Interstate 70, Interstate 170 and Interstate 270. Also, the Lambert – Saint Louis International Airport is only a handful of miles away.
