Mr. Klunk brings twenty five years of experience in manufacturing and logistics in a broad range of industries such as metals and ammunition, pet food, and third party logistics. Bob began his career at Olin Winchester after earning a degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois. At Olin, Bob worked in product development, manufacturing, and played a lead role in implementing Lean projects. He ended his career after serving as plant manager at the center.
A promotion involving shotgun shells and John Olin's dog King Buck led to a tour of duty in the pet food industry. At Doane Pet Care in Nashville, TN, Bob created the "Demand Flow" department, where he was responsible for Sales and Operations Planning, Inventory Management, and Transportation for thirty four plants and three DC's for the largest private label manufacturer of pet food in the US. Bob became fascinated with Third Party Logistics after outsourcing his transportation operations with great success. He returned home to St. Louis when he joined the former Lanter Logistics Company in 2003. (Now OHL).
Bob was General Manager of 2MM Sq. Ft. in Gateway Commerce Center, and established the first RF scanning operation for OHL in the St. Louis Campus. Later Bob led Engineering and Customer Solutions for OHL Global, including Contract Logistics, Transportation Management, and International Freight Forwarding and Customs House Brokerage.
Bob sits on the advisory board the Center for Supply Chain Management Studies at the John Cooke School of Business at St. Louis University, and is the Head of Operations for FW Warehousing, Trucking, and Logistics.
