Long-time St. Louis Warehousing Provider FW Warehousing completed the upgrade of its business management software to Microsoft Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision) version 6.2. The biggest and most noticeable change resulting from this upgrade for customers is the firm’s new and improved web portal.
“The 6.2 web portal provides customers with real-time access to their inbounds, shipments and inventory,” said Randy Monroe, Director of Operations for FW Warehousing. “Customers are able to go to the FW Warehousing website and log in to our customer portal. They can view their inventory, view shipments and generate reports. The web portal also has a customizable dashboard for KPI measurements. In addition, parcel shipments include links to service providers such as UPS and FedEx that allow customers to track their shipment with just one click from inside the portal.”
Additional tools, including an order entry function, for the web portal will be rolled out in the coming weeks and months. Customers of this St. Louis Warehousing leader benefit from quick and easy access to the information they need. They no longer have to wait for a return phone call from a customer service representative or an emailed report. In this day and age having real time viability is important for everyone. Customers want to know where they’re items are in the process: Have they been packaged? Have they been shipped? Where are they in the shipping process? Have they reached their final destination? The web portal provides a bit of peace of mind, which most people do not feel when trusting their goods with someone else. That is what FW Warehousing is looking to provide with this web portal: A way business owners don’t have to stress after hours, they can check on the portal and know they’re goods are in even better hands.
