In response to an immediate need of a customer, FW Warehousing is in the process of constructing a temperature controlled room in one of its Illinois warehouse facilities. The custom build-out concept is nothing new at FW Warehousing: when a customer has a need, FW Warehousing is quick to do whatever it takes to provide the best solution, even if it may come with some upfront costs.
The Management team, led by industry veteran Bob Klunk, Director of Operations, quickly stepped in with a seamless solution:
“Our customer has a new product which requires a service we did not currently offer. We could have outsourced the need, but we feel the client would be best served if we provide exactly what they need under our direct supervision and management and under our own roof.”
The product requires temperatures at 80 degrees or below and will need to accommodate 32,000 square feet of product. The construction process includes installing air-conditioning, firewalls, insulation, temperature and humidity controls as well as temperature and humidity monitoring systems.
At FW Warehousing, if they do not have the facilities or requirements in place that their clients need, they will redesign their facilities to meet the client’s specifications.
According to President & CEO, Mark Cusumano:
“FW Warehousing owners work side-by-side experienced 3PL Logistics professionals everyday. We are here to make crucial decisions on how we spend our resources to provide the best solutions for our customers faster and more efficiently than our competition.”
FW Warehousing knows that flexibility is the key to meeting their clients’ needs. Having the right leadership coupled with on-site management with the authority to make adjustments on the fly for their clients gives FW Wareshouing a competitive advantage in today’s competitive marketplace.
